We discovered within the last week or so that Nora has a new talent. (Excuse my mommy bragging for a minute, eh?)

She can catch. And boy, can she throw.

I was pretty impressed by it, because in the past, we’ve tried to teach our nephews (who were older than Nora at the time) how to catch and it has always been really challenging. And then I happened to semi-jokingly ask my sister-in-law–who is a kindergarten teacher, so she is early childhood certified–if she’s supposed to be able to do that. She said, “Nope! They usually master that at age 4.”

Go figure. :)

She is also really good at choreography…

This particular morning, we left Nora in the playroom while we got ourselves dressed upstairs (she’s within earshot, and can be trusted to be left alone for a few minutes). I heard the Ariel song being played over and over again, and heard her “singing” along with it. So I sneaked down the stairs to spy on her and saw her dancing. The same dance, repeatedly. She choreographed it, haha.

Nora is also a very talented actress…

As you can see, she has comedy down pat. But she has a wide range…

THE DRAMA. This was actually tonight. I had her help me with baking a batch of cookies for tomorrow, and she was NOT.HAPPY. when we were done plopping the batter on cookie sheets and they had to go into the oven. She wasn’t even crying, she was just dramatically flopping over onto the counter to express her discontent. She also kept peeking out the side of her hands to make sure we were watching.

TODDLERS. Or maybe GIRLS. I don’t know. But it’s certainly entertaining.

I love her more every single day.

The drama, I can assure you is a Toddler thing, not just a girl thing. Our 19 month old does the exact same thing, all the while making sure that we’re watching his every flail :)

I will say that it is a toddler thing BUT. As the stepmom of two teenage girls, having been around from the ages of 7 and 9…the drama is even more dramatic with girls, lol. She is adorable. Can we arrange a marriage between Nora and Logan? She is only a few months older and he is okay with that :)
