Nora is at a stage where she is obsessed with certain books. Like, we will go a week at a time reading the exact same three books at bedtime. Then she’ll latch onto another one, so we’ll continue reading two of the original books, but the third is a “new” one, and we’ll read THAT […]
Ughhh… Monday. And day number eleventy billion 9? 10? 14? (I’ve lost count) without any sight of the sun. It is getting depressing all up in here, folks.
Add to that the fact that we just went through the time change? Miserable. I’m ready to hunt down and kill the person who invented Daylight Savings […]
A few weeks before Nora’s second birthday, I started to become overwhelmed with how quickly she was growing and changing. Of course, she’s been on a fast track to adulthood since the moment she was born, but this was different—she was literally learning, doing, and saying new things ALL.THE.TIME. I started experiencing those knock-you-over-amazing […]
At dinnertime on Sunday, I realized that it had been one of those weekends when I hadn’t taken any real photos of our happy little girl. To make matters worse, I hadn’t taken any photos of her during the week, either–with the exception of iPhone pics, of course. Thankfully, there was still plenty of time […]
Nora had her early intervention evaluation for her speech last Friday.
It went really well. We weren’t sure exactly what to expect in terms of cooperation on Nora’s part, but she was great. A little shy when they first arrived, but she warmed up quickly. We scheduled the appointment for early in the day–9 […]
About
I'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog. The Address
