Nora is my baby, y’all. She may be approaching the big “1,” but let’s face it: She still drinks breastmilk. She eats pureed foods. She can’t walk, wears diapers, and sleeps in a crib. SHE’S A BABY. But lately, it has become increasingly obvious that she’s more than that. Her brain? is a sponge. It […]
Well now. Look what finally decided to show up.
What, you don’t see anything? Take another look…
How about now? Still not convinced? Alright, here’s another…
You mean you STILL can’t see it? Really? C’mon… how about now?
Alright, so I’ll admit, there’s not much to see yet. But that little arrow right there is […]
It happened just like that. (Picture me snapping my fingers.) On Friday night, as Nora was engaging in her new bedtime exercise of playing in her crib, she tossed her pacifier overboard, onto the floor. And Michael and I made the sudden decision NOT TO GO GET IT. Well, let me back up a […]
Nora is developing and hitting milestones faster than I can keep up with.
Last week, she learned how to go from a lying down to a sitting up position. Last night, she pulled up to stand in her crib. Of course, these sitting up from lying down and pulling up to stand milestones have something […]
Ladies and gentleman…
We have a first word.
Nora has been babbling for a while now. “Ba-ba-ba-ba.” “Da-da-da-da.” But she has never made the connection between one particular object or person and a word… until now.

About
I'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog. The Address
