We were planning on getting Nora all dressed up in her Easter best, and making a special trip to the mall–just to see the Easter Bunny.
And then we realized, WHAT THE HELL ARE WE THINKING?
We knew there was about a 0.001% chance that Nora would actually sit with the bunny long enough to […]
I’m convinced that toddlers are bipolar.
I don’t mean to make light of the actual mental condition–I know it’s very real, and very serious–but SO ARE TODDLER MOOD SWINGS. Dear lord.
Nora was such an easy baby. Seriously, she almost never cried. But then she turned one, and went all crazy. The tantrums were moderate […]
I’m afraid we’ve created a monster. We’ve had pretty great weather this week. Every night after work, we’ve taken Nora outside to play. The only problem (if you can call it that) is that she LOVES it–a little too much, maybe. The minute we get home, she’s whining/reaching for the door/begging to go outside. We […]
Tonight… we cleaned.
(And no, we did not stage this. She picked up the broom on her own tonight.)
See that nasty drywall dust on the floor above? That has been coating our kitchen for the past 10 days. It is the reason we had plastic taped up over every doorway, why we couldn’t cook […]
Genetics are hilarious. The night after Nora was born, I sat in my hospital bed with my sleeping newborn passed out across the front of me. She had been born at 3:29 a.m. that morning, and after a day full of family and visitors, this was one of the first quiet moments that she […]
About
I'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog. The Address
