In the late morning on Friday, we received confirmation that my brother, Trevor–who has been deployed for eight months–would be coming HOME that night. We were all so excited and anxious to see him again. All day, any time I thought about what the moment would be like, I’d get all misty!
We had […]
A couple of weeks ago, we had family photos taken. Nora was a little difficult to work with, I must say–but most 2-year-olds are. We bribed her with fruit snacks (something we have actually never given her before) and that was at least partially successful. Otherwise, it was a lot of distracting and tickling and […]
I witnessed a horrific motorcycle-SUV accident on my way home tonight.
All I could think about was how lives had been changed in that instant. Both of the men involved–that wasn’t how they were planning on spending their evenings. They were supposed to arrive home in their driveways safely, but–because of a fraction of a […]
Praise heaven, we are officially under contract to sell the condo.
We are scheduled to close on May 25. We could not be more relieved.
It’s been awfully tempting to bust out some champagne, but 1) who has time for that? and 2) I’m still hesitant to celebrate until it is OFFICIAL official. Like, keys […]
People always say that things happen when you least expect them to, and I guess I can apply that nugget of wisdom to what occurred tonight.
We’ve had our condo–which we’ve been renting out to tenants since we moved in August–on the market again since mid-February. Like last year, when we had it on […]
About
I'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog. The Address
