A week ago at this moment, I was holding a brand new baby girl, naked on my chest. She had just entered the world. I had just seen her beautiful little face for the very first time.

As with most things involving your children—it seems like it can’t possibly be a week ago already, but at the same time, it seems like a long time ago already. Because really? Vivienne’s only been here a week?

We have all adjusted really well so far. Things have been a little crazy around here. Vivienne and I were discharged on Sunday, my dad left on Monday, and now Nora has been home with us since Wednesday because our daycare provider happens to be on vacation Wednesday-Friday this week. We’ve also had a lot of visitors, the baby’s first pediatrician appointment, etc. I’ve been working on a few blog posts but they just seem to take forever to pull together. Such is life with two small children, I guess?

Anyway, I didn’t want to wait any longer before announcing the winner of the Heather Drive Baby Pool.

All told, 20 of you guessed that our baby would be born on August 2. But of those people, 14 of you also guessed that our baby would be a boy. Wrong! :) And when you guess the sex incorrectly, you’re out of the running for sure, based on ExpectNet’s scoring. After that, the date, time, weight, and length are all taken into account.

So, who is our big winner? NICOLE! (Email address starts with battybtags)

Vivienne was born on August 2 at 2:02 p.m., weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. Nicole was really close with all of her guesses, so she comes out on top, winning the $25 Amazon gift card.

If you want to see how you fared in the scoring, check out the game page. Keep in mind that LOW scores are better than high scores.

Thank you to all who participated in the baby pool. It’s always so fun to see everyone’s guesses, though I will admit that when I was still pregnant, I was not all that amused by all of the past-due-date predictions. ;) But it all worked out in the end!
