When I was growing up, we NEVER used sunscreen. NEVER.
{Me, circa 1990, when summers were made for non-stop sun and swimming}
Every summer, my brothers and I spent eight weeks with my dad in Virginia. My dad, grandparents, and cousins all lived on the same street (small town!) and my […]
I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve written a real blog post. And this doesn’t exactly qualify as a “real” one, but we’ve been busy and I feel like I need to somehow catch up. The result is this collection of random thoughts and things that have been going on.

Exactly a year ago, I woke up with a little bit of an upset stomach.
It quickly escalated from there into what I originally thought—as did my doctors—was the worst.stomach.bug.ever. The most violent vomiting you can imagine. The pain and discomfort associated with a stomach virus, but multiplied times ten.

Last weekend was Michael’s birthday weekend. He didn’t feel well on Friday and had stayed home from work, and was kind of still “off” on Saturday. So we didn’t do […]
It seems as though everyone is getting the stomach bug this year. For weeks now, my Facebook feed has been filled with people complaining about the bug.

About
I'm Heather. I'm 33 and have been married to Michael for seven years. Together, we have two beautiful little girls we love more than anything, and a miniature dachshund who drives us crazy. I'm a full-time working mom who has very little time for my own "stuff" these days, like home improvement, cooking/baking, cake decorating, and photography. Despite the team not making the playoffs since 1999, I'm STILL a Buffalo Bills fan, which I think speaks to my loyalty AND sense of humor. I can't wait to pick up the pace with travel again some day... you know, when we're done being ruled by tiny fists. Welcome to my blog.The Address
