Earlier this week, I told you how I was so over our Christmas decorations. I was done.

Tonight, it is all gone. The house is decluttered. It’s unChristmased. It’s deholidayfied. Or something like that.

And wow, does it feel good.

New rule: Christmas decorations are to ALWAYS be taken down the weekend after New Year’s. No ifs, ands, or buts.

P.S. I am sorry for the lack of quality blogging this week. I am exhausted! I still have a few more recipes to post. I’ve also got a little bit of writer’s block, so if you have any ideas or questions–shout ’em out. I could use a little bit of help! :)

I have a personal question…when/are you and your hubs thinking about having a baby? I would just like to hear your thoughts on the subject.

PS – AWESOME salsa receipe!! :)

Marie–Thanks for the question, but you’re right; that’s pretty personal. I open up and share a good chunk of our lives here on the blog, but there are things that I keep to ourselves. You’re certainly not the first to ask–we get this question a lot in real life, too. All I’ll say is that we both love kids (which is probably pretty evident in the way we love our nephews), so we can’t wait to be parents. We hope to be blessed with a few children some day, but we’re not exactly sure when that will be. When the time comes, I’ll be sure to share.

I totally understand about the decorations. i took down our holiday decor on Saturday and could not wait to be finished. I wanted my house back to normal.

We took ours down a few days after New Year’s too. It was time. There is actually space in our family room now. I almost forgot how big that room was for us!

We STILL have our tree up. It is driving me crazy. But I can’t take it down by myself, and my poor husband can’t stay awake for more than a few minutes after dinner these days. So it may remain up until NEXT WEEKEND. Yikes.

I’m curious about what your trip plans are for the year. My husband and I share a similar interest as you in lots of traveling, we just added a new baby to our family this past November, so trips are a little more limited, but we’re planning a couple “family” trips this year personally. How about you guys?
